 St. Ann Parents, Where did the summer go! On behalf of the Home and School Association, welcome to a new school year. Home and School will be in the old gym on Orientation Day this Wednesday, August 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., with pre-packaged school supplies, Bibles, dictionaries, desk bags and rainy day placard forms. Please print the attached 'check-out' form, and fill it in ahead of time, so that check-out will go more quickly for everyone. We will accept personal checks and cash only. Please prayerfully consider how you might give of your time and talent to St. Ann this school year. We will have volunteer sign-ups for the following committees on Wednesday as well: Hospitality, Cultural Arts, 7th and 8th Grade Dance, Mardi Gras, Fundraiser, Box Tops for Education, Campbell's Soup Labels, Spirit Shop, Secret Santa, and the sub-committees of the Principal's Advisory Board - Technology, Education, Building and Grounds, and Communications. Representatives from other clubs and organizations, such as Scouts, Athletics, Yearbook, and Block Party will also be on hand to answer any questions and accept sign-ups. The position of Secretary on the Home and School Board is also open - the secretary takes minutes at the Home and School meetings on the first Tuesday of every month, and publishes them for approval at the next meeting. Please give me a call if this is a position you are interested in. Also, please mark your calendars for the first Home and School meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria, to find out what's planned for this school year.
